Vine Recruitment is the most trusted recruitment agency for permanent job placements in the Boland. Based in Paarl, the company represents the beautiful Winelands area and therefore aptly aim to be the vine that connects compatible employees and employers. About 75% of our clients and candidates are based locally. However, most of our clients have a national footprint and we assist them with their recruitment needs countrywide. As news are spread “through the grapevine”, Vine Recruitment aims to be the metaphorical “grapevine”, serving as the channel of communication between job seekers and employees with staffing and recruitment needs. Our focus is to build lasting relationships with our clients and candidates. The vine also symbolises growth and we strive to offer individuals and companies the opportunity for growth and development. Meet the team of Paarl Vine Recruitment
Owner and CEO
Annemie Engela is the owner of Vine Recruitment and has about 15 years’ experience within recruitment. She started out by recruiting teachers in the UK. After relocating back to South Africa, she had recruited health professionals for the overseas market and thereafter moved into generalist recruitment. As Annemie has a passion for people and business alike, it was simply a natural progression for her to start doing recruitment. She enjoys empowering people, and sees recruitment as the ideal tool to live out this passion partnering with both employers and candidates. “We have the ability to have a real input in people’s lives with what we do. What a privilege and responsibility.”
Desmaine started her journey at Vine Recruitment as the front office receptionist in 2008. Her friendly and enthusiastic nature left her eager to take on more responsibilities, and she has grown into the position of office manager and recruitment consultant. She is exceptionally good at making people happy with her excellent work ethic, determined personality and wonderful ability to understand and engage with candidates and clients across different industries and levels. Desmaine is constantly on the lookout to improve herself and is planning further studies to add even more value to her industry.
Officer Manager / Recruiter
Ernestine comes from a medical care background, she has phenomenal people skills. Her vibrant personality paired with her professional manor makes her a great person to be the face and the voice of Vine Recruitment. She will be the first one to greet you when you come and visit us, and the first one who greets you over the phone. Even though the Recruitment Industry is new to Ernestine, we strongly believe that she will be key in assisting our dynamic team in obtaining excellent results. Ernestine is also an adventurer, always up for a new challenge.
Stephanie studied Organisational Psychology at Rhodes University and has gained valuable experience both within the Recruitment, and HR worlds. Stephanie believes it is her zest for life. She has a positive can-do attitude and drive for not only customer service, but customer delight, which sets her apart. Stephanie values the notion of Old world Charm exceeding New World Expectations. She sees opportunity in change, and is looking forward to help you take your career or business to the next level of excellence! With a degree in Psychology and Labour relations from NWU PUKKE Simone loves being the matchmaker between Clients and Candidates. Since she can remember she has always wanted to work with people and it is an absolute privilege for her to tie the Clients and candidates together. It saddens her that there are so many people that dread going to work each morning and she would like to change that.
She believes that every person deserves to be happy and fulfilled in their professional lives as that is where we spend the majority of our time.
